British Standard Colours
BS 5252 is the British Standard system for colour co-ordination for the building industry and incorporates the standard colours used for Paints BS4800, Vitreous enamel BS4900, Plastics BS4901, Sheet and Tile flooring BS4902. In addition BS 381c range is for special and mixed colours often associated for military use and safety designation colours.
British Standard colours were the original and only choice for specifiers, in recent years their popularity grown considerably representing traditional values and timeless colour choice.
The British Standard colours are available in Architectural polyester gloss, semigloss or matt finish, meeting the requirements of BS EN 12206 for Aluminium and BS EN 13438 for galvanised steel.
They are also available in polyester semigloss leatherette for manufacturing industry, where the leatherette finish is specified to hide metal imperfections and provide an enhanced cosmetic appearance with excellent abrasion resistance. Fine textures and other types of powder such as epoxy and epoxy polyester are also available on request.
